The lord is my Shepherd

Most folks learned it as youngsters and it continues to be a comfort to people who are dying, or people who have lost loved ones. Perhaps it’s thus well-loved as a result of it’s thus personality and individualism. Once we scan it, we tend to think about David shepherding his sheep 3,000 years ago. “The Lord is my shepherd”.

Unfortunately, we tend to live in a very society where tending sheep isn’t our normal occupation. In fact, I dare say that most of us even understand a shepherd, a lot of less are aware of what a shepherd’s life is actually like. And thus i feel we’ve got a bent to lose a trifle little bit of that which David supposed when he wrote these words.
